Autumn Rose finale.....

It's done.....well, I think I'll give it a steam press to set it now that I know it fits. After steaming, I'll clean up the neckline steek and tack it down. But other than that, it's done!

I was trying to find something to wear with it -- the model in the book has an orange top underneath.......even though I love orange, did I have fine scoop neck orange camisole type top - NO!

Brown, yes
Turquoise, yes
Both look good in their own way.

It's funny how the shades in this sweater work with other colours.

DH loves it -- he said "finally, a figure flattering fair isle". Daisy seemed to like it too.....she loves getting her photo taken so here's one with Daisy.

OK, I'm not big on the photo thing, but I wanted anyone out there contemplating Autumn Rose to see that it does look ok on someone that isn't stick thin (I'm definitely not stick thin). It can be adjusted -- not so low a neckline, not as nipped in at the waist, whatever you want.

Next project? You'll have to wait until the next post when I hope to have a swatch to show you -- guess what -- it's not fair isle!!!

Simply gorgeous Anne! It looks fabulous on you! Just wondering - do you find it scratchy? I'm thinking of wearing it over a scoopnecked tee to keep it away from my skin.

It is magnificent, but do you think it would work with a v-neck? I'd look like a plucked chicken with so much front exposed!

Thank you for the wonderful photos! Its no great to see a finished piece on an actual body and not on a table or dressform. You look terrific! I love it! Very flattering. Hubby is right :)

The sweater is lovely--thanks for sharing. I have my two sleeves done and now I'm recommited to finishing this lovely sweater. BTW, it looks great on you and that skirt is the bomb.

You know, with your coloring, a soft rose might look pretty underneath it.

What a beautiful job you've done! This makes me want to make it even more... Although I am a little intimidated by the instructions... but hey, I'm an engineer, I'm sure I can figure out instructions! I can't wait to swatch!

Wow Anne, you look terrific in that sweater. Wow! Who knew you could be as glamorous as Rita Hayworth.

You did a beautiful job. Just goregous on you. I gotta have one.
Gee, if an Autumn Rose would do 1/2 of what it did for you, for me, I would be thrilled to pieces.

Yowza! You looking amazing in that sweater. Thank you for making it so we can see how it looks for real. I did frog back and follow the directions as written instead of second guessing myself and all is perfect now so I'm starting the first sleeve. Now I'm really jazzed to finish!

Fabulous Dahling, fabulous! It looks so good on you as well! What an awesome look. I am sure that when you wear it out and about, you will have people following you around trying to get a look at the tag inside so they can get one too! LOL What did Daisy think?

Anne, it's completely stunning. Thanks so much for giving me hope that a woman who is not a waif can look good (okay, GREAT) in that sweater. I'm knitting with even more excitement now.

Can you tell us how much ease you used for the sweater? I hope mine looks half that good!

Beautiful! I loved Eunny's too, but this colorway is more appealing to me, and I think it looks fabulous on a "real person." You must be thrilled with it. Great job.
