To get a box in the mail, that contained something so nicely wrapped that you don't want to open it, almost.......but you know what it is and you can't wait!
I have about 20 pages of The Golden Compass to finish before I start this.
I'm hoping that this book gives me some insight into the author, we'll see.

Hi Catherine - Yes it is a hardback book -- printed on lovely paper and it has 302 pages. I'm on page 67
I can't wait to get the book! I will probably order it tomorrow. I have all her books and have been a lover of her designs since she was in the US. Thanks for the info on the book, Anne.

Hi Catherine -- just to be totally sure that you realize this isn't a design book -- it's a travelogue of her time in the US.
